I do not live in the UK, but I work for a UK employer and work outside the UK as a seafarer. Can I claim my tax back ?

Yes
if your earnings as a seafarer are liable to UK Income Tax and you are:
• resident for tax purposes in a European Economic Area (EEA) State and
• not ordinarily resident in the UK
you can claim SED.
